Chubby Chair Port | Kooij

A$0.00
Sold Out

Price Upon Request

Dirk van der Kooij, 2013
Recycled plastic, pigment, steel screws, felt gliders
L45xW42xH80cm | 10kg
Seat height 46cm
Not suitable for use outdoors
Multiple colours available

The Chubby chair remains the most playful child of Dirk’s self-developed extruding robot. Its friendly, anthropomorphic form is imparted by limitations in the robot's memory. The result is a chair made as simply as possible: with no memory space for extra information, the Chubby is constructed from a basic pattern of structural lines. Structure as ornament is a unifying quality across the Kooij collection.
