Capri (born 1957) is a French renowned animal ceramist and sculptor.
She graduated from the Olivier Serres School of Applied Arts and has been working with clay for over 20 years. A lifelong animal sculptor at heart, she builds each form by hand, layer after layer, creating movement and a sense of life through observation and modelling. Working in stoneware, she plays freely with coloured slips, applying and layering them by brush and projection to achieve rich, expressive surfaces through multiple firings. Inspired by the animal world, her work reflects a deeply personal, poetic and often humorous interpretation of nature.
